Bio: Reticence rules. I don't like talking about myself. Cosmic in awareness, I live for challenges to everything I believe, or think I know. I suppose my main focus is on the philosophy of social issues. I think that every problem is an invitation to all of us to work out the solution, and I believe that no problem exists that does not contain a solution within itself. All we are asked to do is unravel it. Life is like a Rubik's Cube. There is a solution, it's just a willingness to work at it with intelligence and logic until something useful emerges. The reason for this site is I need a place to post my more controversial subjects, the attempted discussions about taboos, the reasons for why bad things keep repeating, that sort of stuff. Having said all of that, what is left to say but, "On with the show!"?

      Finally caught up to your query. Let’s see. Burning woman is a term I borrowed from a Greg Bear novel, Wind from a Burning Woman. This passionate woman set herself on a course to destroy the earth with an asteroid as revenge for the killing of her family if memory serves. At the last moment, when she still had a choice, she re-directed the asteroid to miss the planet and she burned up with it as it passed through the earth’s atmosphere. Long time ago, that. For me, it was a way to identify with my French heroine, Jeanne d’Arc who was burned alive at the stake at the age of 19. It also reminds me to be wary of my own passionate thoughts and ways; to guard myself. More, the burning ascribes to a way of self-denying, sacrificial living in order to be always “on call” to service of others. It’s another word for a compassionate being. Sha’Tara is my chosen name, not my given name which I rejected long ago. Sha has many meanings. The main two, Shakti, the divine force that destroys demonic forces and restores balance and the permanent companion of the gods – without whom they have no power (hence the term Avatar I use to describe myself – an avatar of compassion) the other meaning is short for Shalom – or Peace. Tara means earth, hence my name also means Peace on Earth. Lofty and very difficult to live with, but very representative of the passionate driving force of the “burning woman.”

    I don’t believe in copyrights or patents, generally speaking. They lead to information hoarding and everyone working on the same problem in parallel, with fragmentation the result.

    An obvious example is in the pharmaceutical industry, although I can already hear the screams of protest from the patent collectors. New drugs’ overinflated prices result more from costs of patents, FDA approval processes, and stock churning on Wall Street than from legitimate research and development.

      I don’t agree with those either. Thoughts, ideas, should flow freely. There’s an interesting anecdote (based on historical fact but who ever checks) in the Hebrew writings (bible) about man “building a tower to the heavens” on the plain of Shinar. The place was called Babel, and became Babylon. In any case, at the time humans all spoke “the same language” which means they communicated telepathically and had no need of written language since they had full awareness of all the knowledge extant among all of them. That made them powerful, and to the controlling elites (the Elohim) very dangerous. So… they “confused their language” in that place and people, no longer able to understand one another and with no access to “the cloud” of information, abandoned their now dead project and scattered into separate groups. Prior to that intervention there would have been no way to conceal knowledge and “patents” or “copyrights” would have been meaningless. We have not evolved, we have seriously devolved through recent times. Patents and copyrights only serve the rich. Even if a nobody secures a patent, it will be bought for peanuts or stolen by those who control the manufacturing. As for copyrights… another biblical quote, or quotes: “of the making of many books there is no end” and “there is nothing new under the sun” Writing should be communication; sharing one’s thoughts with others.

        Absolutely agreed. I think of the Tower of Babel a lot, especially as I see the steady undermining of our language, more or less to convey the opposite. “Warring for peace,” for example, one of many simplistic phrases that squelch deeper analysis.

        Yesterday, for instance, I was at a discussion session about domestic affairs. I commented that this election year presents a perfect opportunity for individuals to make a difference on local and state levels, since all of the House and one-third of the Senate are up for election. The comment was dismissed as irrelevant.

        “It’s all about the money,” they claimed, meaning they have given up without even trying. That’s one of the oldest battle strategies there is: to convince the enemy his cause is hopeless. “Divide and conquer” is another strategy used to keep regular people from trusting each other.

    I read a lot of thoughts about the US election process and how it’s rigged, etc. Well, yes, everything within the System is rigged, of course. If it wasn’t so, there would be no System, since it’s a world-dominating, energy sucking parasite. The problem with collective approach to any solution to evils created by the parasites is that they control, through licensing, permits, and various security controls, how the collective functions. No solution to a collective problem can ever be achieved through collective effort. The only way forward is for individuals to learn how to live in self-empowerment. We are one, not as a group, but as an individual. An individual isn’t weaker than a group, that’s the illusion. An individual can live in ways that expose the System. The most obvious way is to increasingly withdraw from System functions; to practise what Gandhi tried to bring to his followers: the concept of satyagraha or non-violent non-cooperation. There are endless ways to do this, some really quite basic. How we shop, what we buy. For myself I have chosen the boycott airlines for example, because of their collusion with the regime’s security forces. If all the people who actually don’t need to fly boycotter airlines, the stupid security measures would be gone in a month. I know the election process is rigged, so I deliberately don’t vote. I know vaccines are not what people are brainwashed to believe: safe and health promoting, but the exact opposite. I oppose vaccinations. So many things we take for granted; so many poisons we allow the parasites to kill us with and often we are thankful! People are sheep.

    I woke this morning to find you’d left a comment re predictions on The Faith that cannot Speak its Name so, half asleep, I wrote a reply. Then, both comment and reply appeared to delete itself. At least, so I thought, I don’t know. I don’t know how to delete comments, either. Regardless, I found the comment fascinating and consistent with posts on your own blog that I read regularly. Predictions are warnings was the theme of your comment, I thought. I disagree but there you go, such is the wonder of discourse. Thank you for taking the time to comment on my blog, it was informative and stimulating. Long may they continue.

      Hi, and thank you again. An intriguing idea certainly. I’ll have to read more of your posts to get a sense of how you see yourself in the world around you. Admittedly poetry is not my strong suit in writing though I’ll write the odd poem when something literally jumps up at me.

      No such thing as a bad joke and unfortunately not much mystery either. My background: born in Brittany, France, but spent my entire life in Canada so my French is what it is. Mais ci je me trouverais dans un coin francais, je me debrouillerais bien. I was 5 when I passed through Paris to take the train to wherever we embarked, so I really don’t remember Notre Dame, Le Louvres, Les Tuileries or Les Champs Elysees… 🙂 That could qualify as a bad joke, dirt poor emigrants borderline refugees aren’t tourists!

        My mother was from Rennes, my father from Saint-Malo. And my real name is not “Brian” but “Brieuc” as in Saint-Brieuc. :)(Unpronounceable in 95% of the planet!)
        Though the only time I ever spent in Brittany was during the Army… Not my best of times.

        You have never “gone back” to either France or Brittany?

        C’est un petit monde n’est ce pas! We hailed from Pordic according to my birth certificate. I remember the sea vividly, and collecting mollusks in a shallow cave. I don’t travel except within western Canada usually on business, although I have one brother living near Calgary, Alberta, that I may visit periodically. Not a family person either! I can imagine “Brieux” being a mouthful for most people… I was told that both Breton and Welsh are kindred languages and both quite difficult to learn if not learned on mother’s knee. Speaking of the army, France’s militaristic stance is the main reason I have never returned. Call it a boycott which began with nuclear testing in the South Pacific. Quels andouilles! C’est un plaisir do faire votre rencontre sur WordPress, Brieux. Meilleurs souhaits pour vous. So you live in Paris now?

        Petit monde indeed. Ma Doué! (Mon Dieu) Pordic is close to Saint-Brieuc. We once stayed near Plouha and toured the coast of côtes d’Armor… Passed through Pordic. Yes Breton and Welsh are cousin languages. But I don’t speak more than a few words. My mother spoke only French. My grandfather spoke Gallo, a French patois.

        Just reading you have a brother in Alberta. So I like to introduce you to a strong woman from there (a close friend of mine) who has been fighting big gas and regulators for fracking her grounds and poisoning her water. Bad story. I think any kind of support would be a good help.

        That’s quite a case. I’ve been involved in similar cases here regarding the protection of food producing lands against developers and bought-and-paid-for local and provincial politicians. Won some, lost most and on the long run, and note – LOST ALL OF THEM AND MUCH MORE. What’s lacking in these phony democracies is a people will. Honestly, Canadians don’t give a flying f**k about the environment and probably 50% are more “American” than even Americans. Take that as a life-time of observation and a couple of decades of heavy duty activism. Despite all the current fashionable climate change protests including anti-fossil fuel declamation (not in Canada, eh!), one must ask, how much are these protesters willing to personally sacrifice of their First World status white supremacy entitlement life styles to see real change? I bet few have taken that next step into figuring out exactly what the costs of transitioning from predatory capitalism and consumerism which morph into the real culprit in the destruction of the planet. It isn’t about replacing fossil fuels with alternative sources of energy, it’s about curbing greed and entitlement. It’s about seriously lowering expectations re: standard of living. It’s about drastically reducing population to match remaining resources on a finite world. Human growth is non-sustainable regardless of the technology used to uphold it. To seriously engage current social/environmental problems, man’s civilization has to be ditched and replaced with something totally different. Currently the relatively few who protest, some probably with some understanding of man’s problems, do so piecemeal. Can’t do that. To speak of curbing climate change means much, much more than attacking promoters of FF. You have to include disbandment of all militaries and cessation of all wars. You have to end racism and misogyny. You have to include everybody from all walks of life, all ages, all races into one global real justice and that “spirit” cannot come from empowered leaders/rulers but from all the people. Fail in that, fail in all of it. It’s that simple and that difficult. It’s a matter of will and that will is non-existent. “We’re going down: those lucky ones with parachutes, make sure you are ready to deploy them. The rest, pray if that turns you on, or kiss your asses goodbye!” That’s how much “hope” I’m willing to give man’s chances of passing through the eye of the needle he has arrived at.

    Hi, Sha’Tara! Reticence would be my middle name, were it not already taken by Alfred. I am a fan of constructed languages, so encountering your glossary brightened my day. Learning languages is a coping means I use to make sense of this plundered planet. Propping up a narrative in one’s own language to demonize the words spoken/written of a fellow traveler on this self-same plundered planet is a form of false witness that irks me to no end. Propaganda is a dark crime.
