[thoughts from ~burning woman~ by Sha’Tara]
I’ve always “known” the world I found myself existing upon was not my world. Somehow though, I did manage to create an illusion, based upon my physical attributes, that I could belong here for the body’s duration. I went through the motions of being alive; of adapting; of participating. I played the game, I played along, most of the time.
There were serious bumps along the way as I made myself aware of the injustice, the mindless violence, the equally mindless drive by so many to cut themselves, or snatch or steal or beg, a piece of civilization’s dwindling pie. I watched the privileged few take ever bigger slices to try and find new, esoteric tastes for their bloated palate. Mostly I watched the millions not so privileged taking advantage of the temporary scraps that fell from the rich man’s table and the billions sifting through the floor and street sweepings to assuage their constant, endless hunger and that of their children.
I also watched as consumerism and greed ate away at this finite world. For a time, not knowing any better, I fought these errors and horrors. I tried to make a few at least see common sense. It seemed so important at the time, and it helped diffuse my own angst and anger. I thought, if I had to live here shouldn’t I want to live in a just, kind, compassionate society? And why could I not have that since what I wanted just happened to make a lot more sense than what my society wanted? Surely, I thought, once people were shown the error of their ways as they related to their world, the less fortunate and yes, including those non-human sentients raised to be food meat, they would desire to change their system of exploitation and oppression?
Time and wisdom taught otherwise. There would be talk, much talk, but nothing would change. Now there’s talk that the totalitarian measures imposed on society in the guise of fighting a virus will make people rethink their ways. I already know they will not. People will adapt, of course, to growing shortages of various things, as they always do in any war, and make no mistake this pandemic is a war declared by the super rich upon society in order to rob them of what little they have left.
While this seems obvious to me, it isn’t for the many, not yet. They still need to believe that their Big Brother loves them and cares so much for them He is willing to destroy society’s very fabric and raison d’etre, even to killing them and their children to save them. Such an absolute contradiction is beyond their mental capacity to reason. Reasoning the why’s and wherefores takes energy which to them seems a waste.
So I’m thinking now is the time to back off as society makes its choice. I believe and observe that it is a deadly wrong choice but I choose to proceed, not as a member of some collective but as an individual against that herd choice.
I realize that to dissent and reject “the new normal” is to make myself an enemy of the herd with the possibility of being declared an outcast but so be it. There has never been a better stage upon which I can practice compassion as a self empowered individual. There was never a time like this when my choice to be a dissenter; to not vote; to not hope for change to come from accumulated power made more sense. I should be thankful. Perhaps I will develop that particular virtue yet before the universal taxi stops at my door and I have to go.
Sha’Tara,
I too, am backing off, because HumanLand seems to have gone bonkers over this coronavirus panic-demic. I see myself going deeper into my personal world, which provides as natural a setting as can be expected on the edge of a U.S. city.
I feed the deer, wild birds, and an entire ecosystem of critters who exist at every level of the food chain, including the mosquitoes who feed off me and the chicken mites who feast on my little darlings.
Speaking of little darlings, I just got a new bitty, born July 11, who is a joy and who keeps my three old stalwart chickens entertained. Her official name is “Tweety,” as in the cartoon with Sylvester the cat, but my Tweety has a nickname, other than “Tweet Heart” and “Tweetie Pie,” and that is “Handy Underfoot, because she is a four-appendage commitment.
My advice (not that anyone wants it) is to look beyond humanity for the soul qualities you seek. Humans are much too self-absorbed to appreciate the joys at our fingertips and the bounties the natural world offers, should we learn to see with unblemished eyes.

Earthians, so obviously, desire naught but man-made toys to keep themselves entertained. Passing by a playground this afternoon I saw a child, no more than 8 years old, sitting on a swing, not swinging but texting. I still observe and judge but I’m leaving them this world and their chosen ways.

Sha,Tara,
Life plays out on many levels at once. Humanland has gone crazy over this coronavirus thing, but Nature is oblivious to human insanity. Even the lizards seem to have more sense, but lizards are much older (and possibly more evolved?) than human beings.

We have 2 stray kitties that frequent our yard — Freya and Deuteronomy (guess where that name came from 😎); we also have 2 bunnies; 3 mourning doves + a brand new flock of babies; a black squirrel with a red tail, and many fox and wolf squirrels, and 2 mockingjays who seriously mimic everything in our yard. And after dark we have a mama raccoon with 2 youngsters; and a possum. We have a helluva time finding the desire to leave our little country of Hamiltonia, especially since we have to wear muzzles every time we go out in public — it’s just easier to stay home and spend our mornings drinking coffee and watching/listening to our wild beasties and our house beasties. Strange that life can be so satisfying in the midst of a pandemic 🤔🐝🐰🐶🐱

Some life-long observations. From life on the homestead I observed that wild animals are very smart; domestic animals much less so (unless they break free of their bondage and try to make it in nature) and homo sapiens is the stupidest animal of all. Reason being, I observed, is that HS is NOT a natural creature at all. It is an artificial or GMO product; cloned/designed to be a slave species of his “gods” who invented him. It’s that simple and it’s so obvious no one, or hardly anyone, could ever dare believe it. It gets worse though. Women were invented to be the slaves of men, and that is why men insist on using women, seldom allowing them to be equals. Certainly the “system” has always treated women as second class people. There’s more: the original men were designed with black skin so anyone would tell they were slaves. They could never pass themselves off as a member of the god clan. This was so until the “gods” made Earthian women pregnant and bore them children. These were not black skinned, and they actually resembled the creator gods. They were called in the ancient tongues the Nephilim or “Nephalem” and they were much larger in size than the average Earthian, hence they were called giants. When people finally wake up and empower themselves enough to break out of their programming these old stories will make sense. People will understand why they have acted the way they have of millennia. Then and only then will there be a major shift that will allow for this particular system or global civilization to collapse entirely to be replaced by something allowing Earthians to become humans. At this stage the best that can be said for the average Earthian is that s/he is a pseudo human. Simple clue to what is what: a true human does not kill. A true human is empathetic and compassionate to a fault. When we realize that the word “humane” comes from “human” all this starts making sense.

What you have written here, could have been some of my words last February, when I deleted my old blog. I still wonder why I came back to blogging, and you nailed one reason, it’s a venue where I can vent my anger and frustration.
An old friend and I met for three hours yesterday, and much of what you have written here, is what we were discussing. For now, I will probably continue to blog, but with the knowledge, as always, that I am not helping to change anything. Because it isn’t me that needs to change, it’s the largest percentage of humanity, the herd, that needs to change. And the odds are stacked high against that ever happening.
Huxley had it right, when he suggested that this planet might be another planet’s hell.
Take care, Sha’Tara!

There is no doubt in my mind that earth is a kind of hell. If there is such a thing as karma those who escape living in this hell by imposing it on others may not be so lucky next time around. Just sayin’

Actually, I keep saying, there should be a hell where these vermin can roast forever! So I get it, believe me.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with backing away if it means you will spend time living your life the way you intend to live it and there is something intrinsically good about that. If your living harms no one including yourself and people can admire you as a good example, then your mission is accomplished. You can’t save them all. That was never in the grand plan. Impossibilities and improbabilities are not worthy pursuits if you plan to save energy. Every living thing becomes a cannibal when food gets scarce. We can choose not to be the cannibal.

Thanks Hype. I choose to be neither the cannibal nor the tasty morsel!

I respect and applaud your choice. Not that my opinion matters, of course. But there it is… 😉

Your opinion should matter to you but in this case it matters to me also. Thanks for your comment, Lisa.

My pleasure, Sha’Tara. And though I understand what you are saying here, and value your assessment, I still say my opinion doesn’t matter. In fact, I think you may have actually inspired me to post about it. 😉

Thanks for your response, Lisa. I’m “contemplating” your post on opinions are like assholes. (https://theotherhoodofone.wordpress.com/2020/08/07/opinions-are-like-assholes/)
I must admit that’s a new one on me. Off the top, I can see a similarity between the two: they tend to spew out s**t. But isn’t that a necessary biological function?

Lol! Indeed. As necessary as breathing, and eating and sleeping. As necessary as feeling and thinking and opinioning…(yes, I know that’s a made up word, but it works better rhythmically)… poetic license

Is it possible that with all the learning that you too, have ended right where you started?
Do we not have the capacity (capacitors) to get it, that we are who we are, even after we see that things are not what they seem? If you stop blogging, I certainly hope you stay in touch as a friend.

Hi Jim. Thanks for your comment. I wouldn’t say I’m where I started, quite the opposite actually.I proved for myself that what the Teachers told me about Homo Sapiens is correct. It is now possible for me to proceed logically from here and not fall for the old illusion that people can be changed.Only an individual who sincerely desires it can change himerself. I’m quite sure I’ll keep on blogging but more selectively!
