Surface Intelligence and the Rabbit Hole Life

        [thoughts from ~burning woman~ by Sha’Tara]

In a finite environment where there’s birth, there has to be death. There’s no way around that one. We know that, we accept that. Just like everything else here: it ages and sooner or later, it dies. This is a “pay to play” world. We pay the price of admission (pain) to enter, hang out for the time allotted by paying a steep rent, then when we can no longer pay, we have to leave. If not perfect – and it certainly isn’t – it’s a system for all of that, and it seems that whatever life expresses here, it has accepted the situation and is making the best or the worst of it. At least that’s how I feel at the moment, subject to change without notice. That’s how it is with feelings.

Have you ever felt incredibly sad for no apparent reason? I would imagine everyone experiences that. Sadly, in this artificial, drug-crazed, noise-drenched, emotionally charged barbaric society such a state should be recognizable as a sign of some mental condition. If I dug deep enough I might to discover I had incurred some fictional trauma and I could tentatively label it PTSD, and if I had a doctor, I would be diagnosed accordingly and handed a prescription for a bottle of very expensive poison pills which would then change my “condition” to a worsened condition to be diagnosed later by a “specialist,” given a new acronym malady and “managed” with more bottles of poison pills, some added shrinkology, more acronymed maladies, more pills, perhaps even a week or two in a psych ward.

I’ve never taken those pills myself since I took the red pill before I became a teenager, but I’ve seen a great many of them and when I looked at them a certain way, they all looked blue. Of course I’m referring to the red pill/blue pill concept made famous by the first Matrix movie.

I live my life in the Rabbit Hole, you see, but I do come out time and again to see how things are going here. They’re not, but hardly anyone notices, so I guess it’s all good – for them.

Just because I took the red pill and live my “real” life in the Rabbit Hole doesn’t mean I can’t relate to life on the surface. I can. In fact, having been changed by the red pill, I realize my place “here” is to practice and develop my RH (Rabbit Hole) empathetic nature. In the RH we control events so that when something begins to go askew, we can change it at will. But here, on the Surface, the sentient life doesn’t have control. It doesn’t know where the controls are located and it would rather trust those who claim to have the controls than try to find them for themselves. That causes serious problems because as most are aware, those who have the controls can decide where the ship sails to, or what the torpedo hits or putting it more bluntly, who lives and who dies before her time.

I find that incredibly sad. Why have intelligence if it’s not going to be used? Or worse, used wrongly, to support and encourage lies? The worst kinds of lies? Surface intelligence relies on Systems to make its life possible. Its three main systems seem to be Religion, Politics and Money. What is truly unbelievable is that Surface Intelligence is fully aware that all three Systems are corrupt and rotten to their very core. But somehow this SI (Surface or Sentient Intelligence) manages to convince parts of itself that despite all the overt corruption, there are some parts that can be tolerated. Lesser of evils and all that – that line is much used and abused at “election” time.

That’s called living in Denial, and it’s a formally accepted part of Surface Life. Denial is a favourite surface recreational resort and you are forcefully encouraged to spend most of your life in Denial . When living in Denial ultimately fails, Hope comes forth, looking Bugs Bunny fashion coy, even charming in a sense, “Eh, what’s up doc? Need some reassurances?” and seduces SI with various believable arguments that with persistence and dedication whatever is wrong with the System can – “of course!” – be fixed. A favourite lately is the voting thing. It used to be going to church and lighting candles… or going to war, basically it’s all the same thing because none of it changes anything, but don’t tell the SI that, they would get “vewy angwy… vewy angwy indeed” and you may find yourself chased by a silly looking little guy in a funny hat and a not-so-funny shotgun.

SI likes to believe (Yes, SI is all about belief) that it’s totally sane in its one and only reality. It’s Rabbit Hole (RH)Intelligence that’s crazy. According to SI, any world that can be controlled by its Intelligences; that can be righted if it goes off the rails, can’t be a real world. Or it’s totalitarianism. According to SI, individuals should be taught that they have power but contrariwise should never be given any. If by accident some SI’s discover they have bits of power, they can talk, or write, about it but most indubitably cannot use it without violating some SI rule or law. SI controllers would burn people to death for that not so long ago. Now they use drugs to counteract the effect of empowerment. They also use executions and torture, but they have standard explanations for that. SI’s accept the explanations as a matter of course. The greatest necessity in an SI world is to believe. The SI world’s innate insanity is always determined by the intensity of its beliefs.

The problem isn’t all due to ignorance and stupidity and selfishness. It also stems from the fact that the inventors and enforcers (of the Belief Systems) are faced with an infinite number of arbitrary laws, rules, and regulations, most of which they can’t keep track of. This gives rise to ridiculous performances, especially in the Religious, financial and legal system. It’s called interpretation. On the legal side, SI’s have high priests of Interpretation which they call Supreme Court Judges. These high priests have the last word on how certain rules are to be enforced. This isn’t justice, of course, but cheap drama, replete with laughable powdered wigs in some places, ridiculous robes and wooden mallets, a lot of bowing, standing and sitting and calls of “order or I’ll clear the court” dramatic utterances. Substance? Why? It’s just another “controlled substance” that’s all about control.

Rabbit Hole Intelligences, (that’s me, in case you forgot) don’t have long lists of laws and rules, they make them up as they see fit, and drop them as soon as their need is over. They’re called “Common Sense Rules.” Let me point out one instance of Common Sense Rule. It has to do with clothing. Much of the world is quite temperate and in those areas the wearing of clothes is optional at all times. Ah but wouldn’t you know it, there are “taboos” on nudity and because of that – and who cares what prompted the taboo in the first place, no one remembers – it is necessary to dutifully feel incensed and “report” anyone daring enough to show too much skin, especially to the “public.” An RH, of course, would naturally and happily go naked when the weather doesn’t mandate the wearing of clothing. The point would be to live frugally on one point (clothes aren’t cheap for those who can’t afford them) and not suffer hypothermia on the other. That’s called Common Sense. Contrary to popular “public” belief, Common Sense is not a drug.

Other CSR rules? There’s the sort of rule against stealing but if “stuff” was shared by all and made available to all, that rule would be rather redundant, wouldn’t it. And no one could feel self righteous by punishing another for taking something needed because no one could lay any special claim to any of it. Where everything belongs to everyone and no one, theft is not possible. By the same token, neither is hoarding. But what an insane idea: imagine where that would leave that special class, the 1% of world-class hoarders?

One of the really big rules laid upon the SI’s of Earth is against murder. Thou shalt not kill is a seriously main rule, and if violated, the perpetrator can be given a life sentence, even be executed. But again as the RH (remember, that’s the Rabbit Hole denizen here) observes, murder is only murder when done one-on-one. When it is done with weapons of mass destruction because a member of the 1% hoarding class wants control of a specific resource, or a piece of property called a nation, then it’s totally justifiable, and often praised. Those who do the killing, well some anyway, are sometimes rewarded with medals and bits of coloured cloth. If they are dead, their nearest of kin is given a flag and the victims of the dead person are further demonized, especially if they lost the war.

When a RH resident comes up among its ancient relatives, among SI’s, it’s natural that it will feel a terrible depth of sadness. Only by returning to its RH world can the sadness be relieved. There are no cures for such sadness (it’s now called depression and yes there are drugs and “treatments” for that) among SI’s whatever the claims of its high priests of System Interpretation. There’s anger and violence or suicide, that’s about it.

And in case you’re still wondering: there are no drugs, no doctors in the Rabbit Hole. Come to think, I don’t remember seeing any politicians, police “men,” business “men” or clergy “men” and I never saw any money changing hands, just stuff being exchanged with smiles and laughter.

How corny. Doesn’t it make you want to lob a grenade in there?  But you have to find it first.

Where you and I differ, Sha, is in this idea that some conspiratorial organisation “invents” systems, forcing the rest of us to comply. My belief is that inquisitive people seek explanations for the way the world is and then start to behave – and encourage the rest of us to behave – in a way they believe is in accordance with that explanation. “If there is a creator we need to worship him in order to prevent him sending tempests and diseases”. “If disease is caused by invisible (by the naked eye, but easily seen via a microscope) organisms then we can prevent disease by destroying the organisms.” “If people are naturally acquisitive it’s best if we protect those things we’ve acquired and punish anyone who talkes them from us.”
It’s the kind of logical thinking you were talking about in your last post. People test explanations (hypotheses) against observable facts. They go on to adjust their beghaviour accordingly. If the adjustment produces desirable results that’s both a vindication of the hypothesis and an improvement in the conditions of life for most of us. If it doesn’t, then ask why and alter the hypothesis to fit the new facts/situation.
There are, in my simple mind, no imposed systems, only systems that are a natural part of the way the universe is constructed. Humankind has evolved trying to fathom out the way these systems work and to adjust their lives accordingly. Unfortunately some still cling to explanations that are either completely erroneous or only partially accurate, so that when the behaviour that is supposed to make living in accordance with the explanation better doesn’t work they blame the imagined system that is part of their erronious explanation rather than admit the explanation is wrong.

Thanks Frank. Not a simply comment to respond to. I’ll be re-re-re-reading it over the weekend to “get it right” and maybe I’ll have some pertinent point to discuss with you then. Talk to you soon!

This is the part of your response I’ve been working on, and quote: “There are, in my simple mind, no imposed systems, only systems that are a natural part of the way the universe is constructed. Humankind has evolved trying to fathom out the way these systems work and to adjust their lives accordingly. Unfortunately some still cling to explanations that are either completely erroneous or only partially accurate, so that when the behaviour that is supposed to make living in accordance with the explanation better doesn’t work they blame the imagined system that is part of their erroneous explanation rather than admit the explanation is wrong.”

Trying to explain why I cannot buy into the facile “scientific” explanations, particularly ascribing everything to natural evolution: For me, Frank, everything operates under hierarchical imposed systems. Were that not true people are at least intelligent enough to realize how much of what they think, say, or do, causes them to repeat mistakes and follies (of unbelievable horror such as wars and genocides) and how helpless they are to prevent this faulty “programming” from taking place ad nauseam.

Example: WWI was the most horrible war ever fought by man and it was declared to be the war to end all wars. The League of Nations was set up to make this happen. But that is not what happened, quite the opposite. There is an old aphorism that says, “Man proposes but God disposes.” Eliminating “God” incompletely and temporarily (replacing it with “science” and Neo-Darwinism) did not make that truism disappear. The symbol (God) lost some power within the operation of civilization but the System remained firmly in place. The “System” continues to “dispose” regardless of what mankind wishes, or would choose if it had free choice.

Must we assume that mankind is mentally/morally defective, or worse, pathocratic in its interaction with others; with life in general? Or must we think in terms of reverting back to a mythical time when man presumably had no conscience; when man was a basic animal and struggled AGAINST nature to survive until he evolved himself and learned to become the superior predator on the planet? Must we assume that man, without any imposed system, achieved his current level of development with which his elite lords and masters can, with a word or the flick of a few switches destroy the world? Must I lower my level of intelligent understanding and agree that such a development is representative of natural evolution, perfectly in tune with “life” as a concept? That would require that I return to the concept of faith, which I reject out of hand.

The idea that gods, or worse, a god, ruled and totally controlled our world has been a disaster, that’s a given, but hasn’t the concept (the aphorism above) simply switched from one partially fictitious story to another? Doesn’t “the way the universe is constructed” simply indicate a similar belief system since there is no way we can ever know HOW the universe is constructed, not its purpose, nor what its end goal can be. In any case, saying “how the universe is constructed” clearly implies that the belief that it was “constructed” as compared to “created” is the same and to me nothing more than a matter of semantics.

Finally, and most importantly, can the concept of ruling unseen divinities, generally accept by a huge majority of Earthians with or without civilization, be ascribed to a process of natural evolution since that process insists that divinities or some God created all things from nothing? How could a “naturally evolved” intelligent sentient being, without any external force applied to his mental awareness, ever develop a global concept of some sort of divine interference or necessary aspect in the development of all things? Isn’t that a total contradiction? Then to further muddy the already turbid waters of natural evolution, there is the problem of “races” among Earthians, the why, and how, and the question of racism and misogyny. Must I also ascribe such horribly unnatural phenomena to the process of natural evolution which means that indeed there is nothing to be done about any of it and no matter how much the highly intelligent creature known as man struggles to better itself in keeping with its moral understanding, such struggle is absolutely pointless. Evolution trumps understanding and common sense so why do we even hope, or long for something better? Unacceptable to me. I gave up on an old God and I’m not trading that in for a new one. I choose my own understanding of “all that is” or “Life” through self empowerment which includes my ability to reason what is, as my own mind sees and accepts the evidence before it.

“Must we assume that mankind is mentally/morally defective, or worse, pathocratic in its interaction with others; with life in general?” I am afraid that is exactly it – the only explanation that fits the facts as you have so eloquently ennumerated them!
Long, long ago, in South Africa, I lived next door to a young family (ok, back then I was young, too!). Twin boys around 18 months/two years old. Each boy had identical toys to his brother. Nevertheless, one boy would always fight with his berother for possession of the toy he was playing with, regardless of the fact that an identical one was available to him. Programming? Surely he was too young. But it is the kind of behaviour that, in adults, leads to wars. So, yes, man is defective. I don’t know why this is so but it evidently is. Despite our supposed intelligence and our sense of compassion/empathy, we are imbued with the same selfish instincts as every other creature.

Another great comment, not because it agrees with some of the statement I made in the previous but because it challenges me (us!) further. You say, quote: “Despite our supposed intelligence and our sense of compassion/empathy, we are imbued with the same selfish instincts as every other creature.” You say, and correctly IMO that we do possess a sense of compassion and empathy. Therefore, all we need to do, admittedly a difficult choice, is to focus on that aspect of our beingness, practice it, teach it to our children as of first importance in every relationship, then let what I refer to as mental evolution take that new direction and run with it. If we have it within, then we can change with it. This is where self empowerment comes in and the necessity of developing a clear sense of purpose. People have demonstrated time and again that with a focused sense of purpose they are willing to die for their convictions. We can choose to replace our instinctive selfishness with compassion; we cannot be led into it and it cannot be legislated, it must remain a free and personal choice. That is the crux of the matter.

I could easily envision the Bugs Bunny universe as described having spent the largest portion of my young life consuming Bugs Bunny programming on my parent’s black and white TV. It especially intrigued me that I had to adjust the Rabbit Ears on top of the tv to make sure Bugs and friends weren’t too fuzzy. I too live in a rabbit hole but it’s not too deep. My butt sticks out into the SI world and occasionally the interface between my butt and the SI world takes a good spanking and I try to dig a little deeper. I was very interested in your views of public nudity. While your RH persona would mobilize across the SI surface unclad, I think if I went naked it would traumatize women, children and small mammals. This would result in my conviction for crimes against humanity. I just can’t do that, not even to the SI populace. My compassion for their mental health forces me to cover myself at all times. Sadness is a valid emotion and it can be exercised as much as joy. Depression is a choice. One can simply choose not to be depressed and return to giddy heights of fun and folly but many choose not to. You see, joy is the abomination that causes our downfall. It is the addictive emotion that forces all manner of misguided acts and even leads to addictions to drugs, alcohol, sex, dangerous sports, etc. Pain and sadness, even depression is the true and enduring state that nourishes the soul. Think how long you could tolerate a state of orgasmic joy and then think how long you could tolerate the pain of living and enduring. We are always ready to endure pain, mental and physical. But joy is necessarily fleeting because of it’s destructive power on the human condition. To truly live and experience life we must pursue pain, even sadness. To seek oblivion away from joy and pain is to die a living death. To present the stoic face and avoid discussions on idiotic subjects with no chance of positive outcome all while feeling the widest range of emotions internally in proper proportion is the way to live in the RH life but venture into the SI world on ocassion to resupply if needed. The RH and the SI can live peacefully in a coexistence but that isn’t for the one who has strong and opposing views. That merely starts the argument that cannot be won, nor change any mind. It only leads to rabble, riot, destruction and that ever necessary but deeply misunderstood pain. Pain is where change occurs. Joy is where life is lost if we seek it instead of just let it momentarily take us away. So, try this when sad or falling into depression. Change your mind. Ignore the source of depression and go about your life stoic and calm or stoic with an internal flame. This opinion is not necessarily believed or practiced by the author who ocassionally comments before being fully awake and properly caffeinated. Just a thought

Well, this comment came through OK Hype, including your butt sticking out and getting spanked. I’m going to (not too surprising, wot?) take issue with you on some points, but not tonight, I can’t stay awake any longer… yawnnnnnnn and g’niteol…

I love it when you take issue with my points. You really do express your views strongly and to the point which is precisely where the proper impressions, learning, and adaptation takes place. At least for me. I look forward to hearing from you. Just please know that if I could only say Yep, you are right, you’d get bored as hell quickly. Instead, I’d like to point out that black snakes can appear blue due to light refraction. I think this might be important but totally irrelevant to the snake and anyone not observing snakes at this moment. (Dammit! That includes me) 😉🐍

Yes, optically anisotropic surfaces, refraction, double refraction, or defraction all cause color shifts on a surface as viewed from different angles as the light frequency shifts due to interference by the surface, in this case the scales on the snake. We call that iridescence in general terms and I think iridescence sounds better than our scientific mumbo jumbo.

Along with ruminating on Frank’s comment, I was thinking about that today (to the accompanying sound of the Stihl trimmer and the dance of last year’s crop of falling dead grasses) and it seems like you self-consciously touched on the point I was hinting at: your perceived scary ugliness capable of traumatizing women and children. I’ve never had that. My nakedness has always seemed natural and perfect to me, even now at 73, I find nothing negative about it. So it’s difficult to understand what makes Earthians hide, reject, despise their natural bodies except for the few who escape the shame virus and are swiftly ensconced in pornographic performances. Why do people fear their nakedness when it’s sexually attractive and desirable, or when it is no longer, whereas animals do not? Why do people think themselves either specially endowed or conversely, ugly to the eyes, whereas animals take advantage of it when nature requires it of them, then just carry on until death, never once thinking themselves ugly? I’ve seen many old animals and never thought them ugly just because they’re aged. What is it that makes people believe they are ugly, and what is it that makes other people agree with that self-image and mock or fear nudity in all but the youngest children? It’s more than just never-overcome sexual immaturity, it’s guilt. Only people can “sin” against themselves and against others. Only people can hate others with malice aforethought. Only people can plan evil against others and even against nature (for whatever reason, and there are plenty). Only people are saddled with a conscience and when evil rules that is when ugliness rules also.
I would have to respectfully disagree that depression is a choice. My mother was “clinically” depressed and made worse by quack treatments that even included a botched lobotomy (is there any other kind?). She committed suicide at 46, not taking the easy way with drugs either, but by hanging. A healthy individual faced with a tragic life may have a choice whether to cop-out to depression or not, but not a tortured soul as was my mother. Her condition, which her A-Hole medical/psychiatric “handlers” would have no clue about, was linked to past life unresolved trauma. Without the knowledge that such conditions occur (I learned about mine and resolved it through acceptance, then through compassion for those who caused it) how can one resolve the problem? As long as we remain intelligent, sentient, self aware beings packing a conscience whose purpose we either do not understand and totally denigrate as religious superstition, our psychologically induced negative conditions will only increase. No drug or self-motivating mantras can take the place of enlightenment.
Quote:”You see, joy is the abomination that causes our downfall. It is the addictive emotion that forces all manner of misguided acts and even leads to addictions to drugs, alcohol, sex, dangerous sports, etc. Pain and sadness, even depression is the true and enduring state that nourishes the soul.”
Ah, spoken like a true stoic! It is true that “pursuit of happiness” is a BS chimera and one must wonder what the writers of the US constitution were smoking. Here’s what I was taught by the Teachers. If a life is lived “properly” with compassion for all, Joy will manifest in that life and there will be great moments of pleasure and happiness, as well as an above “normal” physical well-being not dependent on input from artificial means but they will only be moments. We live in an “evil” world – not the actual round ball called earth, but everything, including the “soul” of Earth (capitalized to represent the living entity) is programmed to function within a “sinful” environment. What happens then to the compassionate one who would bring in, share, and exist ONLY in joy in such an environment? That person will experience Sorrow. Sorrow and Joy are twins, one lives in the light, the other in the darkness and they exist by feeding each other’s nature to each other thus providing a shaky balance where no balance could otherwise exist. That’s how this Earthian civilization (there’s always been but one!) has survived so long but Joy and Sorrow are tired. Too much Sorrow, not enough Joy. Too much pain, not enough pure well being. Such a condition can only mean the downfall of man and his world. Entropy. Termination.
Quote: “The RH and the SI can live peacefully in a coexistence but that isn’t for the one who has strong and opposing views.”
Unfortunately, RH and SI are diametrically opposing views and lifestyles. They cannot ever coexist peacefully or otherwise. The SI immediately realizes that any RH is a deadly enemy and attacks it. Think of all those who were healers and were burned alive as witches. Those who tried to make religious or political change who were tortured and killed. These number on the millions and have been victimized throughout the life of this man’s civilization – another reason why it has lasted so long: it never allowed the change agent to actually gain significant power to implement real and permanent change. Think Joan of Arc, Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr. Think Jesus, if you believe such a one actually existed once upon a time. Think of anybody you want, nothing but death. No coexistence, never any sharing of power.
Quote: “So, try this when sad or falling into depression. Change your mind. Ignore the source of depression and go about your life stoic and calm or stoic with an internal flame.”
I do not “fall” into depression – it’s a waste of precious and limited time, but your advice is actually how I live my life, with calm and that internal flame I call purpose and compassion, is inextinguishable. I have an eternal life ahead of me (or behind me!) and I know I have yet to make a great deal of mistakes and suffer many failures but I no longer dwell on that: it is inevitable, therefore par for the course.
Now to get on with it and read your last “March of the Cybrids” post. (Link for those who wonder that I’m referring to: https://returnofdragons.wordpress.com/2020/02/27/march-of-the-cybrids-19/)

This was the Sha’Tara I was angling for. This is elegant, wise, deeply observant and expressed clearly and concisely without the anger that accommodates many subjects that swirl in this discordant and highly politicized cancel culture. This was Avatari. This time, I’ll honor and respect this discussion with honesty as I know it to be. Why must we see ourselves in a bad light and compare ourselves to ideal standards, real or imagined. It’s a horrible trap we can’t escape from unless we put meaningful effort into it. There seems too many layers to self assessment that can derail that most natural of existence. In truth I do obey secular laws however ridiculous or entrenched in a long dead Puritan influence. I do that because I don’t see any benefit to my life to get handled roughly by the police and my life ruined by a deeply flawed criminal justice system. But when in my own privacy in the great outdoor or indoors, it is my choice to do as I will. I would not seek attention only a kind of freedom from constriction. And more vitamen D. Agreed on this subject. And depression. My most hated words to hear regarding depression is all forms of snap out of it as if it were a choice. We can fight depression, but not alone. Here is where true compassion from those close to us, healthy diet, exercise, environment, and if needed professional care and treatment help one back on their feet. I do believe effective professional help is a crap shoot. The best help is unaffordable or unavailable for most. I can speak with authority on the subject. I to suffered from clinical depression based on severe and prolonged physical trauma that shut my critical systems down and landed me in intensive care for 30 days and outpatient treatment for 18 months. Many vets go through this. 4 million of us in the last 20 years. You can’t wreck your mind and body for extended periods of time and return to a normal life or to your previous life. And what did the uninformed say. Snap out of it. You can choose to get better. I did choose. I fought for it. The choice is to live and endure. Not many make it that far. And they never make it alone. We do live among evil and the good are few and far between. We cannot expect good to find us. We should be our own good in that compassionate existence you so aptly describe. This week, I made the necessary effort to coordinate and fund cutting edge technologies with a high accuracy to detect specific pathogens in a way that is inexpensive to manufacture and operate. The vision is to have this capability everywhere it is needed not just in those places it can be afforded. I was attacked by bureaucrats deeply concerned this would bring world attention and they would be asked by superiors to answer questions and what about the endless red tape that must follow every effort to cover every ass in case something goes wrong. It was appalling. A single man will condemn a world population for fear of being found out to be incompetent. My inner Ghandi resisted peacefully. Sadly, this solution was conceived by scientist and physicists using advanced math and scientific instrumentation but it wasn’t them that interjected evil, it was the manager who couldn’t spell any of the words used to describe the mission he was responsible for. But, I did it and this individual will be trampled by greater men and women with vision. The evil profiteers will follow, surely. Today, I saw a man run off the road and hit a tree. I stopped and rendered aid and got the emergency services on site and stayed until the man was rescued. I thanked the police officer who was the first emergency responder and he looked at me and told me thanks for giving a damn and saving this man. I thought right there, how could I have not done what I did for another human in distress. I was the only person that stopped. Everyone else drove around and hurried home to dinner. There is no way possible for me to abandon someone in such a situation. I’ll likely never know if the man lived or died or was disabled. I won’t know if my effort counted. But I will do it again as long as I am able. I don’t consider myself evil but many would just by looking at me. I’m the patriarchy, the white fascist racist, military murderer, government lackey, scientist and lead human being in the measurement sciences for research and development. I’m an awful bastard just by looking at me but I still help strangers, have an adopted daughter I love and care for, help young people with potential go to school and build a career. I cared for my father until he died of altsheimers. I cared for my grandfather until he died at 103. And when I retire from evil doing, I’ll start another career as a physical therapist and volunteer to work for minimum wage helping others relearn to walk like I did after my spine was damage during military operations. It’s a hard life full of pain and many will judge me wrongly, I think. But their judgement is wasted. I seek a path to help others and my accomplishments in life have not been meaningless to me and that is all that matters. We can chose many things if we dare and we can accept much more. If I were an anarchist or an atheist, I’d still care about that man crushed in his car and in agonizing pain unable to help himself. Finally, my quote: “I have yet to make a great deal of mistakes and suffer many failures but I no longer dwell on that: it is inevitable, therefore par for the course.” Yessssss! I’m with you on that! High five Sha’Tara! Lead the way. I’ll try not to fall too far behind.

Religion, Politics and Money. Without these three delusions, there is nothing but emptiness. That is why you wake up sad. You know the truth. Drop by my new post. The system is about to collapse. I would like everyone to wake and realize without religion, politics and money…we still have each other, and we can if we can SEE the person standing next to us.

    Hi Sha’ Tara
As you know I am a great believer (or should that be ‘perceiver’?) in what I know call the Incompetence Factor let’s call it IF, because there have been a lot of IFs in history. Incompetence covers a lot of other corrosive feelings such as Greed, Hate & Intolerance for starters; I mean what is the point of going down those roads? They only cause the same response from others and next thing you know your fighting for and loosing all of your ill-gotten gains or getting an early grave. Flawed, flawed, flawed.
Our perceptions are not just evolving beyond…
‘Ugh. Me want your stream. Then I have two streams. Me throw rocks at you until you go away or stop standing’
‘Blaggh! Me have BIG rock to roll at you, then me take your stream too!’
Cue: Serious and prolonged rain, both streams turn into torrents and wash the protagonists away; the rocks take it as it comes.
Am I wrong? Uh? Am I wrong?
(Hope this doesn’t come across and dismissive and frivolous of the issues you raised, it’s just the mood I am going through in trying to flush out the negative rage and hate ‘demons’ lurking in the back of my mind)

It does appear that no matter how good, wise or ingenious a discovery, sooner than later it ends up in the experienced hands of the Incompetents. And as you point out, no matter how many time before the same move has backfired, it’s a guarantee that some Incompetent, eager to prove his/her mettle, is going to see to it that that same move is done again. That’s why bureaucracy exists, isn’t it?

I was a bureaucrat. I was proud of being a bureaucrat. Mind you I did belong to the heretical schism school of thought ‘The Instruction Books are for The Guidance of The Wise and the Adherence of The Fool’
or finally after I had read ‘Despatches’ by Michael Herr (yep another reference) for the severalth time paraphrased one extract when reading the latest instructions.
‘Oh that’s a load of, man. We’re here to shift the stuff with least fuss. Period!’

I haven’t read Dispatches and probably won’t – I’ve done all the reading and pondering on another useless profit driven massacre in the name of war I care to. Being a bureaucrat would have had its share of frustration!

BUGLE CALL!!! 😁😁😁 For those who have trouble posting comments, before you click on “post comment” and it disappears in grandpa’s virtual attic, copy your text and forward to this email address: shatara@telus.net I should then be able to post your comment back on my WP blog post. Worth a try. If I’ve learned one lesson from thousands of such when working with Microsoft programming in the bad old days not so far gone it’s to learn to discover and use “back doors.” The virtual world is a swamp of back doors and useful for beating the “normal” programming when it glitches. (Another point: one can also post the comment with a notation to another blog post on the same blog, see if that goes through.)
***The most useful feature of all internet communication… copy and paste!!!😉 But on WP you have to “copy” BEFORE you send or it’s buy-buy comment.

Are we not on a plane of existence made of duality, though? Good, bad, light, dark, up, down, happy, sad. And when we’re trudging up that hill with that big backpack on and we finally stop and take it off and realize we don’t have to respond or react in the expected, programmed ways, then we can put the pack back on and continue walking….only our perception has now been irrevocably altered. The pack isn’t as heavy and the hill isn’t as steep anymore due to our understanding. It’s just getting to that point, of course…
I don’t know how many lifetimes it would take. And if there are no other lifetimes, it would be sad to only get one shot at getting that pack off and then putting it back on again, transformed….

Thanks for commenting. To me, the fact that we can transform ourselves by changing our mind about stuff is the proof that we are an on-going type of life-expression. None of what we are and what we do can make any sense outside the eternal beingness scenario. The problem is the temporary amnesia we are handled with and must exist under while “here”. That’s the controlling “System” that most people absolutely refuse to admit exists but refusing to confront this possibility is actually a defense of the programming through active denial. We are born to carry a burden but does it have to be the burden of the oppressors or can we choose a different burden, one that heals and also threatens and diminishes the power of the System? Can we be rebels instead of willing stooges?

Okay, I’ve mentioned that my writing, my blogging, my story, had a host of unintentional surprising “benefits.” You’re a benefit. So is Hype. And, in doing what I call “research” I’ve been listening to a lot of amazing geniuses to inspire my story. Call me behind the times, but I just listed to this. You don’t have to listen to ALL of it if you don’t have time, but even the first 12 minutes will blow your mind. Here you go:

It’s good to finally read those comments. I’m still learning how to dig in the WP chaos to find how things are supposed to work. Obviously they’re having problems with Akismet and spam control. For “intelligent algorithmic programming” it leaves much to be desired! Anyway, thanks for all the comments. I’m following your story and comparing it to some sci-fi novels I’ve been devouring on the side. I find a lot of “agreement” in depicting our current social conditions.

Hi George, finally got around to scanning that Chris Hedges speech. Yes… yes… yes… but what can I say to it all? I “know” this stuff inside out and backward, and much more. Yet none of what I hear from the greatest voices of the day ever go deep enough down the rabbit hole to really make a dent in the programming and that is what is destroying civilization. It isn’t the programming’s “intent” to destroy mankind: the destruction is simply the result of failing check and balances. The programming is set up to manage an ISSA species in such a way that it will endlessly foist gratuitous violence against itself – anyone can see man doing this even if they can’t see the programming behind it. What has happened is that the “exceptional” characters chosen to lead the species into its internecine violence; it’s exploitation, oppression, enslavement, rape, murder of war and genocide, these special characters have been taken over by their own greed and it has become bottomless as their technology has made it increasingly easy to take – to simply take – and put nothing back in the pot. End result of their predatory behaviour is entropy. All the great minds can see this and their voices can speak of it but not a single one, as I said, can realize the need to expose that “matrix thing” and show how the programming has become a self-destruct app. Look at the reaction to this latest pandemic, the ultimate selfishness of people when faced with the danger of termination. The programming works because people are selfish and most do not see this as a moral hazard; as a failure in reasoning.
You may ask, why would anyone unleash a programming that ever and anon foist violence against/within a sentient species? Simply put, the “master race” (whose existence is so obvious no one dares admit it – programmed denial is such a wonderful thing) feeds on violence and blood; on endlessly manufactured pain. That is the reality we live in; the one “we” cannot face or ever admit exists. Hence the repetitive behaviour that remains “unexplainable.”

I think, George, that it comes down to spending an entire lifetime focused on the subject of global injustice, greed, political/religious/economic corruption and the end result: endless violence. I’ve never been able to live a day without being aware of what is going on – maybe I was born with an active sense of empathy – not always compassionately, the two are not necessarily coexistent – but aware. That made me/forced me to follow the news, read up on current events and join various movements dealing with the greater and growing issues of environmental pollution, imperial wars, misogyny, endemic poverty caused by exploitation of natural resources and oppression of women and the cheapening of manual labour. All I ever wanted was answers to my “why?” question and for people to see this and find solutions; solutions that were, and are, obvious to me. We are what we are, I suppose… 🤔
