I am working at keeping politics down to a dull roar on here but once in a while something comes by that merits re-posting. The following came via email and there was no authorship given, so I’m posting as “anonymous”. Also I’ve just upgraded this site to paid, so I thought I should give that a bit of a ride. If it gets rid of the ads it will be worth it. I HATE ads!
Now on that wall thing, physicians try to reach a consensus:
The Allergists were in favour of scratching it, but the Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves.
The Gastroenterologist’s had sort of a gut feeling about it, but the Neurologists thought Trump had a lot of nerve.
Meanwhile, Obstetricians felt certain everyone was labouring under a misconception, while the Ophthalmologists considered the idea shortsighted.
Pathologists yelled, “Over my dead body!” while the Pediatricians said, “Oh, grow up!”
The Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while the Radiologists could see right through it.
Surgeons decided to wash their hands of the whole thing and the Internists claimed it would indeed be a bitter pill to swallow.
The Plastic Surgeons opined that this proposal would “put a whole new face on the matter.”
The Podiatrists thought it was a step forward, but the Urologists were pissed off at the whole idea.
Anesthesiologists thought the concept was a gas, and those lofty Cardiologists didn’t have the heart to say no.
In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision up to the assholes in Washington!

Top surgeons representing the MMA fighters got together last month to share their latest accomplishments. The German surgeon spoke about taking a bone spur out of a fighters knee, and him looking for bouts in six weeks. The Swedish surgeon took a brain tumor out of another fighter and had him looking for fights in four weeks. The Russian surgeon, very proud, had taken a tumor from a fighters spine, and had him fighting in the ring after two weeks. With that the American surgeon jumps up and says, that’s nothing! We took an asshole out of New York, and had the whole country fighting the next day!!

No assholes are making decisions in Washington and that’s the real problem. Sadly, 70 years of looking then other way as it was economically or politically beneficial has been brought to a head with devisiveness, reactionism and hot air. Indeed it IS so tragic it’s comic. But to anyone who has doubts that immigration reform is long overdue I urge you to find your way across any number of borders besides American, even by accident, and send a postcard about how well you like their jails. Or come join me where 70+% of crimes against property and persons are committed by people who failed to sign in at the door. 5 billion dollars would do a lot of good in many other ways, but it seems neither side has a proposal for that. Yes, or No? How about a solution? Oh, that’s right, there’s no political posture for that.

Yes there is a solution: stop imperialism; stop oppression and exploitation. Stop greed. Stop thinking in exceptionalist terms. Stay home, fix your own problems and if you need something from another country, order it and pay a fair price for it. Do that and your refugee problem will disappear overnight. Refugees are VICTIMS of oppression Phil, they are not opportunists, your BS American propaganda notwithstanding.

That sums it up nicely. I love how no one mentions the walls built to keep undesireables out for the last 7000 years. The East Germans had the best wall by far. Ever since we built three huts in a meadow, we’ve been building pallisades. The Romans had very secure borders without many walls. They simply expanded their land holdings and developed an effective border patrol. Rome collapsed internally and when the wall collapsed the Tribes descended and took what they wanted from Rome and each other. This gave birth to the rule of kings and 2000 years of war. All countries have border protection and some are just more effective than others. We don’t need a wall. We have only to empower what we have now and make entry and exit simple and quick while being ever watchful for those who would do harm to the citizenry by any means. A physical wall would work for about one week. Then what? We don’t have the will the East Germans had to keep their people isolated from western debauchery caused by too much freedom. Paralyzing the entire nation and willingly harming millions of innocent people over a political trick makes Pelosi and Trump eligible for crimes against humanity. It will never happen. The paralysis and mind numbing stupidity will continue and 125 million people will attempt to cross the border illegally and 10 million or more will succeed. Rome is falling again and another 2000 years of war is upon us but then, who really cares except those 2 billion victims of it all. There is no solution other than depopulation to a sustainable level. I think that has already started. It just doesn’t happen to our demanded schedule and according to our plan. Just my personal opinion. I don’t intend to disabuse anyone of their opinion. They all have some validity.

I think that has already started.” As horrible as it is to contemplate it, this is now a fact. We chose to fool ourselves with our agrarian smarts, our mechanization and our technology that we could ignore limits to growth in a finite environment. Turns out we can’t.

I’ve read where several countries have negative population growth and only a decline of a few percentages can be catastrophic in the out years. America has the highest death rate of infants and mothers in the free world due to the new Obamacare rules and crumbling health care systems. Given the low income familes are saddled with atrocious health care options because their care is subsidized by the government, their chances are slim if the birth has any complications. Very sad. There are many third world countries that have better infant survivability than America does. War and migration is actually less depopulating than the flu, heart desease, opoid abuse, and automobile accidents. These causes outstrip all war deaths world wide. Of course, the other causes don’t have near the negative tertiary effects war has. We tend to focus on things that are more fear than fact. Still, the fact remains that population growth is under strain and if things don’t change, there could be a tipping point down the road where we see localized collapses.

In my opinion, “localized” collapses wouldn’t matter so much if we removed all artificial national and other boundaries and just allowed ourselves to wander across the face of the planet, taking our chances with whomever or whatever we meet. No more walls. If we can’t do that we will wipe ourselves off and that will be that.
