D’you ever get into that space where you feel a quasi-manic need to say something when you don’t know what that is?
I’m living under a piebald sky of white to black clouds roiling across an achingly deep blue sky, doing their best to hide it and bring the rains back but failing at their purposed task.
I love being here, as in this life right now, passionately so, yet I long to be somewhere else, anywhere else. The storm that defines Earthianity, the clashing of thunderous waves against granite cliffs perpetuates itself and while the waves gain power, eroding the cliffs, they also get darker and full of the detritus of the things they have drowned and of the sands they have troubled, stirred and relocated. I love the storm but I don’t want the garbage it stirs up. I like the rocking of the waves but I want a clean bed to sleep in.
When I get into such a whirlwind mind space and seek to find a place to set my feet that isn’t moving under me or a place to sit down that won’t collapse and send me plummeting down a bottomless cliff, I pull up this old quote and read it, thoughtfully.
Then I wonder how much of a hypocrite still remains calling itself ‘me.’
Oriah Mountain Dreamer
It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.
It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life’s betrayals or have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain.
I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it, or fade it, or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with Joy, mine or your own; if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, be realistic, remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself. If you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. If you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see beauty even when it is not pretty everyday. And if you can source your own life from its presence.
I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand at the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, ‘Yes’.
It doesn’t interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone and do what needs to be done to feed the children.
It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from inside when all else fails.
I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.
Now I’m free
Free fallin’
Yeah, I’m free
Free fallin’
Now all the vampires walkin’ through the valley
Move west down Ventura boulevard
And all the bad boys are standing in the shadows
And the good girls are home with broken hearts
Now I’m free
I’m free fallin’
Yeah, I’m free
Free fallin’
Free fallin’, now I’m free fallin’, now I’m
Free fallin’, now I’m free fallin’, now
I wanna glide down over Mulholland
I wanna write her name in the sky
I’m gonna free fall out into nothin’
Gonna leave this world for awhile
Now I’m free (Free fallin’, now I’m free fallin’, now I’m)
Free fallin’ (Free fallin’, now I’m free fallin’, now I’m)
Yeah, I’m free (Free fallin’, now I’m free fallin’, now I’m)
Free fallin’ (Free fallin’, now I’m free fallin’, now I’m)
(Free fallin’, now I’m free fallin’, now I’m)
Now I’m free
Free fallin’
Oh (Free fallin’, now I’m free fallin’, now I’m)
Free fallin’ (Free fallin’, now I’m free fallin’, now I’m)
Now I’m free (Free fallin’, now I’m free fallin’, now I’m)
Oh, free fallin’ (Free fallin’, now I’m free fallin’, now I’m)
(Free fallin’, now I’m free fallin’, now I’m) Free fallin’

“need to say something when you don’t know what that is?’ Yeah. That’s why I’m here blogging, writing a story. The more I press the subject, the more likely whatever it is I need to say will squeak out. Meanwhile, enjoy the process!

I think I write to fill the void…I know something’s missing and I am trying to figure out what…and if there IS a “cosmic consciousness” I’ll connect with it. Just sayin’.

That cosmic consciousness likes to be chased. It’s all in the chase.

Mountain dreamer is one of my all time favourite poems. It really speaks to my soul…The void is real. I believe it is part of the human experience of being alive, being chained to this body, dense matter….we crave something matter, but what is it? Writing for me is an exercise called filling the form…this process requires one to get started on the creative process without the luxury of the blocked artist’s excuses….”I can’t write because I don’t have the time, I can’t paint because I don’t have a studio” are two famous excuses which blocked artist’s often reference. Filling the form is a robusy call to action. It’s something that I must do so as not to get swallowed whole by my thoughts. The commitment of weekly writing letse breathe and lets me feel more whole, it helps to fill in the gaps and allows me to see what I’ve been repressing for so long. It’s my therapy. Also, we must know that progress and change is often made by way of small, incremental steps not one big leap, all at once.

Interesting comment, Wilde. I suppose “writing” being an extension of “thinking” serves many purposes for different people. For you it seems to be an art form you use to fulfil the creative you and to drive you. For me, “writing” is a tool requiring some basic skills to handle and the purpose is to communicate something to another that could elicit a response or trigger a whole new line of thought. It’s a way to share what I observe and what I think about that observation. Hence I mostly write essays, or short stories that usually contain an obvious lesson on moral values. Writing is a podium and a microphone.
Mountain Dreamer forces me to confront myself; a reality check of what I claim for myself juxtaposed with how I live my life; in particular what I think while living that life. That’s why I used the word “hypocrite” in relation to myself. We’re all hypocrites, that being the nature of the beast (there may be exceptions) but the point is how hard do we work at changing that aspect of our mental nature?

Sorry off topic: My Thoughts on King Arthur, the sword and the stone
I wonder what the truth of matters lies behind the story of only King Arthur being able to pull the sword from the stone? (not sure if his round table could also pull it).
It might have been something to do with advanced technology, wearing the right gemstone crystal rings and having his DNA activated perhaps. This is consciousness interfacing technology Solid State without moving parts like a lot of our computer hard drives are becoming now, like the one I’m typing this on.
The film Prometheus shows an example of this, of the strange annunaki giant weird looking character sitting in a stone chair and putting his hand on and activating the sacred geometry stones and crystals to come alive and are actually advanced quantum interdimensional supercomputers. This is technology of course beyond anything publically acknowledged now although the secret projects and Solar Warden have it , and of course the Smithsonian and other museums have scrubbed all this side of things from history. Michael Tellinger touches on this a bit on his youtube 2 hr interview about the stone doughnut shaped weird torus shaped rings found round Africa. Which it seems are components for advanced free energy technology! Not religious decoration.
So I think of King Arthur and the sword and the stone along these lines.

Quote: “So I think of King Arthur and the sword and the stone along these lines.” I wouldn’t argue against such a line of thought. It should be obvious to everyone that our myths, tales and fairy tales, including biblical “miracles” are all sourced back to our “gods” who were not gods at all but technologically advanced “aliens” who could do all the things possible in the tales of angels, demons, fairies, goblins, wizards, witches, etc. Two things working against Earthians getting a clue: soul programming and racial hubris. There are none so blind as those who will not see.

The stones and crystals being arranged in sacred geometry arrangements. Just like Tesla coil zero point energy generators ive read exist.
Merlin the Wizard fits into the King Arthur tale somewhere I think, and it makes me wonder just what Merlin got upto, did he open up stargates or transdimensional doorways perhaps at certain energy locations in ancient Britain especially Scotland which is apparently rich in such interdimensional vortex point locations apparently.

Re: Merlin – who knows? How important is it to pursue such a line of inquiry? I suppose for some individuals, it is very important and they have their own reasons for doing it. I can’t engage any of that myself. I chose long ago to pursue a different thought: that of changing my own spiritual/mental nature, not by using “trinkets” but strictly by using my mind fuelled by my thoughts regarding good and evil. Right and wrong. Ultimate choices and how they affect me, my surroundings and the world. Our post-Christian neo-Darwinist world hates being challenged with the concepts of good and evil. I continue to be amazed at the detraction and denial surrounding these so obvious forces. So desperate are modern “scientific” and technocratic way showers to destroy all vestiges of spirituality they cut their noses to spite their faces in the process. When it comes to virtues versus vices; of the right way and the wrong way to choose life, denying the existence of good and evil as motivating forces goes beyond throwing the baby out with the bath water. It spells the end of any hope Earthians ever had to succeed in becoming human and adopting humane ways to interact with each other, so-called wild life and their natural environment. Without morality to rule their actions it is a foregone conclusion that not only will this civilization collapse in spreading horror, but much of the earth’s environmental infrastructure will collapse with it.
