What’s Wrong with Today’s Earthians?

I wrote the following article in response to this one:

Over 4,000 Migrants Have Drowned In The Mediterranean This Year

Which can be read at:  https://talesfromtheloublog.wordpress.com/2016/11/29/over-4000-migrants-have-drowned-in-the-mediterranean-this-year/

Although my article is a response, it isn’t addressing the migrant article per se, but the nature of people in today’s world.  (Re-copied from “Tales from the Conspiratorium”)

What’s Wrong with Today’s Earthians?

The following can be considered a harsh response to the refugee plight touched upon in the original article but I’m not apologizing for it.  The following point desperately needs to be made.

Of course my heart goes out to these refugees, and I feel my own frustration, and anger. But deep down, as a student of history I’m reminded of those incredibly brave Russians who stuck it out in Stalingrad against the German onslaught and heroically held on against all odds, suffering unimaginable horrors throughout an unusually harsh winter.  They didn’t run.  So many didn’t run, they stood up to their would be conquerors and fought back by every means the human mind can conjure up.  They died in horrible conditions, of famine, of typhus, or frost bite, of untreated wounds.  They died by the thousands defending their homes and their honor as human beings.  How many people remember these people were offered a chance to escape, to withdraw deep into the wilds of Siberia?  They chose to stand and fight, men, women and children… mostly women and children!

It happened wherever the war raged.  It happened in Greece, in Italy, basically throughout Europe as it happened throughout the spread of Japanese terror troups, as it had happened in Spain during the Spanish civil war which the Fascists and Nazis won only because of overwhelming force garnered from arms and support received (as in the case of IS and other terror groups now in the Middle East) from the American military industrial complex.  (And let’s not forget it was the same American MIC that had armed the Japanese also.)

My own parents in the French Resistance during WWII didn’t attempt to flee to England though they lived on the coast with a very narrow channel between them and freedom, and they were fisher folk with access to boats, they could have easily done it.  No, they held their ground and they fought back.  For every German that was killed, the Germans retaliated by killing anywhere from ten to a hundred hostages.  Still, they persevered.  That’s how people were “made” in those pre-boomer, pre-entitlement years.

Isn’t that what you would do if groups of nut jobs invaded your country and began to systematically spread terror among your own people, perhaps even taking your daughters, lovers, wives as sex slaves, burning your homes, forcing your sons into their madness as suicide bombers, torturing and killing your neighbours?  Tell me that you wouldn’t fight back, even if it meant using broken shards of glass, throwing rocks or ripping their faces off with your bare hands!  I certainly know I would, tooth and nail, as there always comes that time when a certain kind of vile violence can only be countered with same because THERE IS NO LONGER A CHOICE.  Either you oppose them, you become like them or you are sheep for the shearing and slaughter, political footballs and hostages to self-serving psychopaths.

Excuse me, but is the word, “freedom” just another politically correct term now?

What’s wrong with these people that they can’t stand and fight for themselves but can only think of running to hopefully save their own skins?  I don’t get this.  Has the human race so quickly become dis-empowered, turned into cattle, as were the Jews in Nazi Germany, meekly and silently walking to their slavery and death in concentration camps without making any attempt to help themselves?  When you know you are going to die regardless, why whimper into it?  That’s just not normal, nor natural!  What’s wrong with these people that they can only rely on power groups for their survival? Don’t they have a life, that innate rage to live free?  Are they drugged?

It isn’t just Syrians.  Look how few people are standing boldly against the DAPL predators and their government armed and legitimized supporters when the entire nation of free individuals should be standing with them, either at Standing Rock or in front of every capitol,  every corporate HQ’s and every bank that funds the “Damn All Pipe Lines” monstrosity.

There is a connection throughout these current events clearly showing that people in general have become mindless cowards, thralls on their way to abysmal slavery to State and Banksterism.  There is no more stand and fight, only run for your life or hunker down and wait for the storms to pass in the hope that they won’t affect you.  Is that THE sign that humanity knows it’s doomed already and has no heart left, sees no point in fighting back against oppression and oppressors everywhere?

Perhaps T.S. Eliot said it best in his poem, The Hollow Men, “This is the way the world ends Not with a bang but a whimper.”

Ooh. Very incorrect and unsound, and very thoughtful. The world needs a little dissension (electing Trump went a bit far). Perhaps WW2 is too distant these days. My uncle, shot down a few days before the end. Another uncle, swam twice after being torpedoed in two boats successively. In the North Sea (aka bloody cold). My Spanish neighbours: her father died in prison in the north, his brother killed in a strange political duel, everywhere, neighbours are conscious, even today that you don’t report your neighbours. Not good.

I asked, a few blog posts back, why the refugees in France are the responsibility of the UK? Just why? I never got an answer.

If the “West” doesn’t want refugees, it shouldn’t be creating them. It’s up to “the people” to force their government to stop interfering in others’ business in order to support the US hegemony. Britain is complicity to the hilt in US and Israeli war crimes in the Greater Middle East. People know this, they just don’t want to face it, just as the Germans didn’t want to confront the acts of the Third Reich and blindly went along.

Agree. But short of poll tax style riots how do we stop warmongering politicians? I posted a great vid by Tony Benn on Clouds about ‘why are we in Afghanistan again?’ Well worth a watch and I’m impatient with vids.

How to stop war mongering politicians? Aren’t these democracies? Aren’t politicians elected to do the will of the people? If that is not (or no longer) the case, then why continue the farce? Why pretend to a democratic political condition? Shut it down. How? Non violent non-cooperation at virtually all levels of the bureaucracy. Neither vote for them nor acknowledge them. Don’t attend their campaign rallies or meetings; don’t watch them on TV (better yet, cancel TV reception); don’t comment on what they do or do not: ignore them completely. Then there’s general strikes. Whatever it takes after that. Seems to me that people in N. America and Europe are happy to have it both ways, accepting the dictatorship of totally non-representative government and continuing as if these were still democracies as either constitutional monarchies or republics. “Massive collective denial in progress, please remain silent.”

As I understand it, the reason there are refugees in French coastal towns is because they want to get to the UK. They have no interest in remaining in France. They want to get to Britain – some because they already have relatives there. They try to board trucks heading for UK. All this is what makes them the responsibility of the UK. (It’s UK truck drivers who have to run the gauntlet of refugees attempting to smuggle themselves aboard).

OK, so following that logic, if I want to go and live in America, does that make me their responsibility? Or, Australia, where I have family, I become an Aus responsibility?

You have to remember people in the UK have been using food banks for nearly 20 years, the pension age is ever increasing, (won’t affect you), skilled workers and labourers see their wages continually undercut, disabled and sick people find it ever harder to get benefits, and yet the UK should have an open door refugee policy? And dole out houses and benefits and grants?

I get what you are saying here, but you should remember that thousand did flee the Nazis and the communists. Many of the people who stayed did so because they had no alternative. As is the case in much of the Middle East today. In the ’70s it was boat people from Vietnam and Cambodia fleeing communism and, earlier, as we have just been reminded, Cubans, also fleeing communism. Migration is a natural response to deprivation in a world where some appear to have access to the lion’s share of opportunity and resources, as I pointed out in my own post earlier today.

I also get what you’re saying. It’s a bloody mess, however one looks at it, but I’m leery of certain kinds of “refugees.” Those who fled “communism” either had good reason to flee the revolutions, they feared reprisals for siding with the oppressors, or were panicked by propaganda. Communism came and nothing changed anyway. In the Greater Middle East it would be wiser, if wisdom mattered, for the “West” to leave those people to sort themselves out. Sadly, they were doing much better before US-British-Israeli interference and the creation of terrorist organizations to overthrow legitimate but non-aligned governments. It’s all about banksterism and investments in crude oil as well as hegemony. So the people themselves must take up arms, however they can get them, and fight back against their invaders. Right now those invaders are the US and Britain, primarily and their proxies, the terrorist groups that spring fully armed from the earth no matter how many are defeated or killed. President Bashar Al Assad knows very well who the invaders of his country are, and so should the people. They shouldn’t be sheep waiting to be rescued by some military, they should be revolutionaries by now, nor becoming refugees whom nobody wants. Ah well, we’ll see what comes of all this.

You clearly demonstrate the state of either total insanity or hidden agenda in dealings with refugees. Part of the reason for European militaries being involved in the Greater Middle East is to create a massive refugee crisis and force these people to migrate towards Europe, ever further north. This creates an aura of guilt and a willingness to accept the refugees legitimate or not. The agenda, obviously, is destabilization of existing modes of government, the establishment of more state security and eventually martial law and dictatorship. The violence fostered between citizen tax payers and refugees seen as freeloaders will provide the excuse for increased militarized police backed by martial law and the “temporary” abrogation of constitutional rights. That’s plain as plain can be.

Actually from what I understand of the situation down south “illegal” aliens, most of whom are Mexicans, are not treated as the responsibility of the states, or the federal government. They survive on slave wages nowhere near the minimum wage; young women get jobs for sex; families live in abandoned houses, warehouses, wherever they can find a place to shelter from the elements while hoping for better conditions to prevail. No, they are not costing Uncle Sam anything, they are a practical source of free labour (and other freebies) for the rich. Also deportations are proceeding apace, increasing every month. Perhaps in this instance one could claim there is a cost in policing, incarcerating, processing and presumably driving them back to the border? The question re: refugees must be sourced. What causes refugees? What are the real forces that create the conditions that force people to become refugees? Once that is known, we need to discover what the agenda of those oppression forces actually is. That’s where global awareness becomes essential. We are no longer dealing with individual nations but with that hegemonic force called globalism. What globalists want in the end is total control of all resources and labour on the planet.

We are into the realms of conspiracy theories here. I have little time for such. I return to my original point in my own post a couple of days ago. If you believe in the justice of redistribution then you must approve of all methods of achieving that. And that, of necessity, includes migration from deprived regions to those perceived to be richer. It has happened throughout the ages – it’s how America was populated throughout most of the nineteenth century. The greater the inequality, the greater the extent of migration.
We also need to stop conflating migrants and refugees. I do not dispute the role of Western democracies in creating the appalling situation in the Middle East. There are a whole range of forces at work, principally about access to resources – which, historically, is what all wars are fought about. The people displaced by such wars mostly wish to return once the war is over. Migrants – like all residents – automatically become the responsibility of the destination state, whether or not the state chooses to accept that responsibility. In the case of the people encamped near French ferry ports, France and the UK have arrived at an agreement whereby they share responsibility for determining the eligibility, or otherwise, of each individual for residence in either France or UK.

Thank you very much for taking the time to set the record straight here Frank. Often I get frustrated by the whole global “thing” and will spout off something politically incorrect and inflammatory as the Devil’s advocate to open a space for thinking people to express what they do know. We are so in thrall to mainstream media, their non-news and their endless lies that constitute little more than conspiracy theories, that we need some place to freely express our own views and feelings. We don’t need agreement, we need more, deeper discussions. Your comment certainly belongs in that category. Thank you again. Always most welcome to dot “i’s” and cross “t’s” on this discussion blog.
